Brow Lift – Rejuvenate Your Forehead & Eyebrows
As we age, the skin gradually loses its elasticity, leading to wrinkles and sagging in various parts of the body—especially the face. One of the earliest signs of aging appears in the forehead and eyebrow area, where drooping skin can create a tired, angry, or stressed facial expression. In some cases, the sagging can even obstruct vision.
A brow lift is a procedure designed to raise the eyebrows and restore a more youthful, refreshed look.
What Is a Brow Lift?
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a cosmetic procedure that lifts drooping brows, smooths forehead wrinkles, and rejuvenates the upper face. Depending on the patient’s needs, the procedure can be performed using either surgical or non-surgical methods.
Types of Brow Lift Procedures
There are several techniques available, each with unique benefits and considerations.
Botox Brow Lift
This non-surgical method uses botulinum toxin to temporarily relax the muscles that pull the brows downward. After analyzing facial proportions, Botox is injected to subtly lift the eyebrows and restore symmetry. Results are visible within a few days and last 3 to 6 months.
HIFU Brow Lift
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a modern treatment that stimulates deep skin layers to lift and tighten tissue without surgery. Unlike lasers that penetrate only 1–2 mm deep, HIFU can reach 4.5 mm beneath the surface. The treatment takes about 10 minutes and the best results are seen after 2–3 months.
Endoscopic Brow Lift
This minimally invasive surgical method uses a tiny camera (endoscope) inserted through small incisions hidden in the scalp. It provides effective, scar-free lifting of the brow and forehead tissues. The procedure is performed under general or local anesthesia with sedation. Recovery is quick and the results are long-lasting.
Eyebrow Thread Lift
A thread lift involves placing dissolvable threads under the skin to elevate the brow. It is performed under local anesthesia and requires minimal recovery. However, the effects are temporary, typically lasting 6 to 24 months. This option is best for those seeking a mild, short-term lift.
Traditional Surgical Brow Lift
Although used less frequently today, traditional brow lifts involve longer incisions and more extensive tissue lifting. They may still be used in patients with severe sagging, though endoscopic techniques are generally preferred for better healing and natural-looking results.
Recovery After Brow Lift
The recovery process varies by procedure type:
Surgical brow lift: Bandages are applied post-surgery. Swelling and slight numbness are common. Hair can be washed carefully after 3 days. Stitches are removed after 7–10 days. Most patients feel normal again in about a week.
Non-surgical treatments: Minimal downtime. Slight redness or swelling may occur but resolves quickly. Normal activities can usually resume the same day.
Why Consider a Brow Lift?
A brow lift not only improves facial harmony and appearance but may also help with vision in severe cases of drooping brows. Whether surgical or non-surgical, the goal is the same: a refreshed, confident you.
